What is Destroy Any Website?
A free browser game that loads a real web page and turns it into a level you can run across, shoot and knock to pieces.
Destroy Any Website is a free browser game released in September 2026. You paste in a URL, the page is rebuilt inside the game as a 2D level, and you control a stickman with a small arsenal who walks, jumps and hovers across that page while shooting it apart.
It was made by Hugo Duprez, a France-based design engineer, and published under his own Sprite Fusion label. The game doubles as a live demonstration of the Sprite Fusion pixel-art tool, which is why the whole thing looks like a mid-2000s Flash game rather than a modern engine demo. It is free to play and runs directly in the browser — there is no download, no account and no install step.
What actually gets destroyed
The page is not a screenshot with bullet holes drawn on top of it. Text blocks, images, buttons and interface elements are converted into surfaces and targets. Individual letters can be knocked loose and chunks of layout break away amid debris, sparks and smoke. That means the page you pick genuinely changes how the level plays.
- Long pages become tall, vertical levels with the good targets spread out above you.
- Image-heavy pages give you big, obvious things to hit.
- Dense text pages are the opposite — lots of small targets and plenty of cover.
In single player the objective is a destruction meter. You keep shooting until it reaches 100%.
What it does not do
The name oversells it slightly, and it is worth being clear about this before you worry about clicking anything:
- The real website is not touched. All destruction happens inside the game's own rendering of the page. Nothing is edited, deleted or sent anywhere.
- It is desktop only. The official system requirements list Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge on desktop, with a keyboard and mouse. There is no mobile or tablet version.
- Some sites will not load. Pages behind a login, private network addresses, paywalls, and sites that block automated requests tend to fail. See the troubleshooting guide below.
Where it fits in
At a glance: action, shooter, sandbox and multiplayer. The official page describes it in four bullet points — any website is a level, 7 weapons plus grenades and a jetpack, online multiplayer, and it plays in the browser. That is an unusually honest feature list, and it is also the complete list.
If you want to play it, the developer hosts it himself rather than licensing it to a portal, so the version at the official address is the one to use. We do not host or reupload the game here — this page is an independent guide, and the game belongs to its author.
